Bugsay Boracay

The Team:
We are a group of dragon boat paddlers composed of resort owners, island-based expatriates, hotel and resort workers, returning visitors and residents of the island.

Our Philosophy:
Sports and fun go together. To work hard on the water and have fun as a group off the water.

Our Vision:
• Boracay as the ultimate venue for a team sport such as dragon boat racing and other water sports.
• Members who adopt a constructive, optimistic and positive striving spirit and are good role models for the youth.
• A sport that provides fitness, healthy entertainment and recreation.

Our Mission:
• Develop interest in dragon boat racing among adults and youths by introducing the sport to all areas of the community
• Develop values such as teamwork, camaraderie, group bonding, support and mutual trust among partners, colleagues and fellow members of the community
• Create public awareness on volunteerism and participation in environment preservation
• Commitment for excellence in local and international competitions


We are fiery… we are impassioned and driven. We are the Spartans of the sea.
